A trek in the Himalaya should be planned with care. This page explains who leads your trek, how we look after your safety on the trail, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Treks are led by guides who hold a Nepal trekking guide licence.
Our itineraries climb gradually and include rest days where the route goes high. Guides check every trekker each evening for signs of altitude sickness and follow the rule of not climbing higher with symptoms. If someone needs to descend, the guide arranges it, and a member of the team goes with them.
If a trekker is seriously ill or injured, the guide arranges evacuation, by helicopter where needed, to a hospital in Pokhara or Kathmandu, and contacts your insurer. Evacuation is billed to your travel insurance, which is why insurance covering helicopter rescue at your trek's highest altitude is a condition of booking.
Every booking is confirmed in writing, naming the trek, the dates and what is included. Pay only to the account named on your booking confirmation. We will never ask you to pay into a different or personal account by message. If you are unsure whether a request came from us, call us on +977 980 937 3953 before paying.
We use your details only to plan and deliver your trek. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and who we share it with.
We work with local guides, porters and family-run teahouses, and we ask trekkers to carry out what they carry in, use refillable water bottles and respect the customs of the villages along the trail.
Ask us anything about safety before you book. WhatsApp +977 980 937 3953 or email [email protected].
